I love quotes of all sorts.
My quote for January 1st was: "Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine." Anthony J. D'Angelo
My quote for today, January 2, is: "The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart." Elisabeth Foley

Please, add your own daily quote. It'll be nice to read quotes from other farmgirls.
Marly

"It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up- that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had." Elisabeth Kurler-Ross

I love quotes too! I have a calendar with daily quotes.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Kristina: I have that quote posted right beside my computer. However, the quote I have goes this way: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'Woo Hoo, What a Ride!'".

"Always saddle your own horse." -- Connie Reeves

I've always read that to mean you should set your own fate and don't depend on others to do it for you. I don't know if that is what Ms. Reeves meant as well, but I still live by it.

I like that, Paula. I also agree with it, also. Kind of like, roll up your own sleeves and get it done!

I love this strain, Marly! I actually posted this in "Farmgirlisms," before I saw your "Daily Quotes." I think it probably belongs here, too, so I hope it's okay that I "double share!" I read it the other day and thought immediately of all of us farmgirl sisters. The original is slightly different, so I tweaked it a little bit so it's more fitting:

"A woman without her farmgirl sisters is like a bird without wings."

Isn't it just the truth?

Hugs -

Laurie, I've read that quote before and loved it. Thanks for sharing it.

:) I love the quote, too, girls - I'm so glad you like it! I have no idea who wrote it. I came across it when looking for ideas for making Valentine's gifts for my hubby and son, if you can believe it. The original quote was about a woman and her sister, which also can be true; but I thought it was much more fitting when you changed it to "farmgirl sisters." SO true!!! Hugs - Nini
