Have any of you FarmGirls tried these new apples..honey kissed is the name??...they are really big, and have a skin that looks like a fugi..they are SOOO good. They are crisp and sweet, with just a little tartness. They are seriously what an apple should taste like! *beware* they are expensive! Treat yourselves if you see them at the store!
They sound wonderful! Good to know that if you can find them I may be able to also since we arn't far apart!! My family LOVES apples and our trees didn't do so hot this year. I will no doubt be going up to the big red barn in Santiquin to get boxes of apples to can.
Jenny~ My backdoor neighbors have a tree full of apples, and they are just letting them fall and rot! I asked her yesterday if I could have some..she said yes. Now I have a big old box of golden delicious apples. I am going to make applesauce.
I can't believe how many folks just waste food.
Honey Crisp is the name...sorry. If they have them at the Big Red Barn, buy em. But beware, they are pricey.
