So my starter is molding. Ihave fed it for three days and when I went to feed it this morning, it had two nice round little mounds of white fuzz.....tell me this isn't suppose to happen. If it is, I am afraid I cannot make sourdough. That is just too icky to me. I just need to know what I am doing wrong if it is not suppose to happen. I covered the glass bowl with a flour sack I have and put it in my nice dry pantry that stays cool enough not to mold things overnight.
HELP!!! Rob loves sourdough bread, pancakes, bagels....HELP!
I am normally the bread queen (fair ribbons to prove it ;) )and I cannot figure this out.
