Hi Sisters,
Wow, I was lucky to have been able to visit Germany for a month. (My husband had 330 vacation hours on the books!) We had a wonderful time, but I remember seeing photos and reading posts from you about the free borrow book nooks many use. I was glad to see they are active in Germany too. The two photos I posted are in Uberlingen, on the Lake of Constance in Southern Germany. What a wonderful place. No, I will resist posting photos of the bakeries and bread, they were very impressive. Have good days! Annie

"The turnings of life seldom show a sign-post; or rather, though the sign is always there, it is usually placed some distance back, like the notices that give warning of a bad hill or a level railway-crossing." Edith Wharton, 1913 from 'The Custom of the Country'.

We also have the free books in our little town never saw this before till we moved to Florida! They built two little book cases like in your pictures in the parks what a great thing.

Hugs,
Roe

Hi Again,
My DH and I are vacationing in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and I came across another neighborhood free Public Book Nook. This time it is in the Shared Harvest Community Garden in a wonderful older established neighborhood. Their gardens are so amazing unto themselves and then voila, before my eyes the cutest Book Nook. Enjoy the photo! Annie

Darn, I am having trouble attaching photo. Sorry, I will work on it and try to edit post.
