I use vinegar as a meat tenderizer ( on roasts) I am not sure what is so spacific about bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. I also use it in chicken soup really helps clear a stuffed up person.

I add about a tablespoon with some Stevia in a glass of water and drink it. It takes a little getting used to but now it just tastes like weak apple juice to me. I also use it to make my coleslaw dressing and in my broccoli salad and several other recipes. It's not food related but I also use it in the shower as a hair rinse-gets all the shampoo residue off and makes hair incredibly shiney and then also as a facial toner. I use 50/50 with water (my skin is pretty strong though, use a weaker ratio if you have sensitive skin) and it's a natural alpha hydroxy acid to help with cell turnover and also regulates the PH level on your skin. It's wonderful amazing stuff and there are hundreds of uses for it.

I forgot when I lived in the country with my grandmother we used a vinegar rinse for our hair because the water was so soft it was hard to get the residue of the shampoo out without it. wheer we live now we have hard water and it get rid of the mineral deposite in the dishwasher about every 3 or 4 cycles in goes 1/4 a bottle during the wash cycle. works real well.

have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe

it's also supposed to be good for boosting fertility..I know I took some of it shortly before becoming preggers for the 3rd time..did it help? I dunno? maybe it's an old wives tale? I dunno?..but was told it was supposed to help that..in either case about 4 months after drinking vinegar almost daily..there I was pregnant! It has alot of good uses..supposed to be good for body aches too.

I use it in dressings of all types, making caso blanco, and I add a couple tablespoons to my soup stock to keep it fresh longer.

Thanks Ladies, I knew I could count on you all. I'm taking a shot glass full with some good old black strap molasses - it's good for iron I've been told. It's bit of a strong drink but I should get used to it soon.

Blessigs to all,

Its not good to drink it straight. You should dilute it with water os some kind of juice. It will eat the enamal off you teeth, I was told. I put a tablespoon in a shot glass and then fill it up with water, drink that and follow with a glass of water. I do this three times a day. I have been using organic Apple cider vinegar for about a year and it has many wonderful effects. For one I now have the strongest nails I have evr had. I have to cut the now, when they used to split and break. It is also a cleanser for your body. It actually will detoxic you organs. The difference between regular apple cider vinegar and organic is that organic has the "mother" in it. The "mother" is the brown stuff at the bottom of the bottle. Just google apple cider vinegar and lots of info will come up. Good Luck with it.

My grandmother used to drink a glass of ice water w/ a tablespoon of vinegar in it when she was younger if she wanted to lose 5 pounds.

I asked my grandfather about it and his face lit up when he said 'she thought she needed to lose 5 lbs'. As she got older (when I knew her) she would do it every day I suppose for the above mentioned reasons.

I don't know what braggs is, is it organic? unpastuerized? Not that either really matters, unless it matters to you. ;)

ACVinegar -is fabulous stuff... We use it for everything.. did you know you can put it in the water you give your chickens and their droppings won't smell from ammonia?

I went on a huge herbal vinegar kick this summer and bottled lots of herbs in ACV.
If you place comfrey leaves in it, you have an ACV with calcium supplement. ;) just take it like a tincture, a teaspoon (plastic spoon please) to 1 cup water.

Actually, here is a link - http://www.yougrowgirl.com/use/recipe_herbalvinegar.php
I absolutely adore Susun Weed. :)

My grandmother took 2 TB in a cup of warm water with some honey every morning for good health. I notice that when I remember to take it my arthritic knees don't act up. I also add a bit to my cat's and chicken's water for good health, when my old German Shepherd was alive I had some in her water too, it helped her arthritis as well.

I'm definitely going to have to look into this one - if people's grandmother's did it, there must be something to it!
