I have a small crib size quilting project that I have been working on for some time now.. usually my hubby and I make our quilt tops and our neighbor quilts them together on her LongArm machine. However, she and her hubby are snowbirds and will not be back down here until November. Soooooo, being my impatient self, I got brave and bought a free motion quilting foot for my brother project runway machine (whew! those things are not cheap by the way..$32.00 for something that could fit in the palm of my hand!) I tried it out this weekend on a piece of scrap fabric I have and I ended up getting really creative and turning it into a cool Christmas gift for my sis in law. I think I could definately get addicted to this! It opened up a whole new avenue of ideas! And if anyone has any pointers, I would love to hear them

Sounds like fun,I would like to learn too,I mostly hand quilt (very sloooowly) or send my quilts off to be finished as well but wish I could be more self sufficient and do it myself!
