Can anyone tell me what exactly tailors chalk is used for? Is it like the marking pencils they sell at JoAnns or Walmart? Does it come off of fabric easily or does it have to be washed off etc.. Thanks! |

Tailors chalk is for marking on the wrong side of fabric, such as darts, etc. Example- say you want to mark a dart with pattern peice use pins at points of dart then mark with taliors chalk at pin point. Can be brushed of or washed. Hope this helps. Laurie

I love mine! It works better than anything else I've ever tried. To remove it, I use the corner of a wash/dishcloth I dip in a little water, just until it's barely damp, then wipe gently.
