Good morning, Yo Yo mammas! The bad news is our computer crashed this week! DH is slowly re-loading. (I lost a lot of pics)

Good news is: I came home after a long day and found prayin granny's yo-yo package! Yippee! Your yo yo's look great, Linda! I noticed right away the 2 prints we have alike! Ha! Two of my faves! I also loved your tuck-ins! So sweet to include them! Thank you so much, Linda!

If any of you are able to post pics please go ahead and do so! I'm not sure I will be able to do so for this swap . Darn.

Still excited to receive the rest of the yo-yo's!!!!

Sorry, Prayin Granny...hope someone else can post a picture of her yoyo's as both Judith
and I are having a crazy time trying to accomplish this simple task.

Hugs,
Peggy

Hello, Yo-yo mammas!
I sent e-mails today to the 3 swappers we have not heard from. Hope to hear from them real soon, and will let you know when I do. I apologize if I did not handle this swap correctly. (But, it won't deter me from swapping again). I guess if we don't hear from in a couple of days we will call this swap "closed". Thank you for your patience.

Hi Yo Yo Mamma's!

I apologize for not letting you all know that I was still active in the swap. I am a bit behind with getting these out. Finishing up getting the buttons on, but have had a bit of trouble with them. This being my first time, I'm wondering if there's a trick to attaching the buttons. How do you all do them? Plan of finishing everything up over the weekend and mailing them on Monday.

Again I apologize for my tardiness

Cynthia...some girls just sew the buttons on the front and go through all the way to the back.

I however...use one of the threads from the top of my heart...after I have it all gathered up and
tied like I want it to look and sew the button on from the front...not going clear through to the
back. Either was is acceptable...not a problem!

Glad to hear from you and look forward to receiving your YoYo's.

One YoYo Mama heard from and two to go!!!! We need to hear from you. We can always be patient as
long as we have communication from you. It is when it seems like you have gone MIA on us...that
we get worried.

blessings,
peggy

Hi, Cynthia! Yay! We are so glad to hear from you! I just knew it didn't sound like you to disappear. My first couple of yo-yo batches took time too. I was not real confident with the buttons either. Finally, I just jumped in and sewed them on! Well, I am one of those that sews all the way through. I think when when we use buttons no one is looking at the backside.:) Thanks so much for posting!

Hey Linda(prayingranny), received your yoyo's on Sunday, wel thats the day I checked the mailbox, so I guess they came on Saturday. Thanks, the yoyo's are great, and the tuck ins came when I am doing a project and needed a feather or two, and there they were. I loved the buttons, they were very unique. Sorry, I could not post about receiving them on Sunday, and today, I have been gone all day. Got home about 2 hours ago. and got to set down with computer. Farmgirl #946 Linda

Hello fellow Yo-Yo Mamma's,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I popped their yo-yo's in the mail yesterday. I just want to apologize for being so tardy with them, but I've had some unexpected family issues that came up that fell to me to deal with. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy them and the extra goodies I tucked inside Now I can go over and sign up for number 9 with a clear conscious. I've already got my materials for the next swap, but am having a hard time finding cute appropriate buttons for the holidays, except Christmas. Anyone know of any sites that specialize in unique buttons?

Enjoy!!!

WOW!! I can't believe your package got to you so quick Judith, but I'm glad it did

Your welcome for the tuck ins and I'm glad you have a use for what I sent. Don't want to spoil it for the others I really did enjoy this and am looking forward to learning the heart yo-yo's.

Yes, the store in Ithaca can be a dangerous place for me to go. What makes it fun is that every time you go in there are new and different things to find! I usually go in when I'm up for a workshop because the shop is RIGHT next door to where the workshops are held along with a fabulous little pub/restaurant with great food and craft beer

See you in round 9!

Cynthia, I too, received my package today, loved your card, with your story,, I won't spoil about the tuckins either, but they were great, and I am already using mine, tonight on my side table by my chair, its holding, well you know. This is fun. I loved the pumpkin material, and the seashell buttons, are great. The heart yoyo's are fun, I have a template bought from Hobby Lobby, I like it, but free hand works also. You girls have a great day tomorrow, and a good evening.
When I first read, your card about Ithaca, I thought you meant in Michigan, my long time friend lives there, and I spent a week with her, and we shopped allover her Ithaca, and all the little quilt shops, and stitchin shops, we hit in 3 days, even those off the beaten path, and one way out in the woods. So much fun, then I saw your post mark, NY so I guess you must have a great little Ithaca near you. lol. Farmgirl #946 Linda

Cynthia...I got your FUN PKG today!!!! You did Great! Your YoYo's were fun, your tucks were
creative and the Halloween Fabric awesome! I loved your Ithaca Story too. I didn't know there
was an Ithaca Michigan so, I thought your meant NY. I had a friend whose Aunt lives there and
she is in Admin. at the College. She is also a really great Tango Dancer...who dances competively.

Anyway, thanks again...you made my mailbox and me very happy...when I found something besides bills
in it. (+: I tried to post a picture (again) and for some reason it just doesn't seem to go through
on this Thread for me. *big pout...while still doing the happy dance!*

hugs,
peggy

Hi everyone,

I am so sorry I have not been on the board for so long. I hope that as of now everyone has received my packages. If not they should be there any day now. I have received from all but one, I think. Life has been crazy, but good. I am so busy with life right now that all I am going to concentrate on is getting some more badges. To be sister 41 I have only a very few. Hope life is going well for everyone. Just remember that our circumstances do not make us happy, we make the choice to be happy no matter the circumstances.

Jeanna

Jeanna, your yo-yo's arrived in my mail this morning! They look great and a couple of those buttons are very interesting! Isn't it a good feeling to finally get those into the mail! (happy dance!) Especially liked the beach fabric. Take good care of yourself. I know how easy it is for life tasks to get re-ordered.
PS. I appreciate your last line. This was a good day for me to see that too.

Hi Jeanna...I got your yoyo's yesterday *smile and applaud". Thanks so much for forging through and keeping to your commitment. It does get down right hard sometimes when life throws you curve balls (which happens a lot I think) but like you said, "YOU" (we) are the only one who choose how you go through it all. Abraham Lincoln once said, "I find that most people are as happy as they choose to be." Right On Honest Abe! Right On.
Hope to see you back again on the YoYo Swap sometime in the future.

Blessings,
peggy

Jeanna, I also received your yoyo's today. And yes, life gets busy, but kudos to you, for following thru, and completing this swap. Loved your buttons. Great job. I did notice you were #41, that must be great, to be some of the first. I keep thinking I will start the badges, but i get busy and never get it done. I have done some things and took pictures, but not completed the process to get them to MJ. I need to do this. Maybe 2013 will be my year! Thanks again, have a great sunday. Farmgirl #946 Linda
