the story behind it is it was on a wine ship, which sunk in Puget Sound in the late 1800's or early 1900's. We think it was on a Mosquito Ship. It weighs about 100 lbs and was underwater for decades before being brought up. It is iron.

I've looked all over ebay and Amazon and can't find anything similar. So, does anyone in the PNW know of any stories similar to the above?? Or point me in a direction??

http://www.jawsmarine.com/blog/category/puget-sound/ -- just Google iron anchor Puget Sound and you'll get lots of sites that might yield some pertinent info.

There is an organization by the name of Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society that may be able to help. They have a website http://www.pugetmaritime.org and a Facebook Page. You can also google the term "Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet" for lots of historical information. Hope this helps!
