I am just about done with an embroidered tablecloth and I want to know about the edge...It's a series of little holes along the entire border of the tablecloth-kind of scalloped in design. Am I supposed to cut that rough edge off or what? I can't upload a photo-Grrr!

I've seen this type of edging on other vintage embroidery pieces but never knew what to do with it...

Talk to me ladies....

Without seeing the cloth, it sounds like the holes are for crocheted lace edging to me.

Nancy is right, it's for crocheting an edge on. I can't crochet so I cut it off and do a two needle rolled hem on my serger.

Okay....It has a nice scalloped edge-maybe I'll just run a plain stitch along the edge after I cut it off.

Thank you ladies!
