I have been pondering the thought of offering a room for rent, well I have 2 actually. I just don't want to post on a crazy site like Craigslist.... I'd have all the loonies calling.
I went to DC for my FIRST vacation EVER!!! In my mid thirties mind you... hee hee. It was so much fun! I think the feeling I enjoyed the most is being in a place where no one knew me, a fresh start. I have lived in this area for my WHOLE life everyone knows everyone and knows everything you have EVER done.
I could never just up and leave, I have a 10 acre farm with all my animals. I love this farm life, it was just nice being a newbie.
If anyone is thinking of uprooting I would like to give you the opprotunity to feel the way I did. Kids and pets welcome :)
I'm so busy I don't know if I just found a rope or lost my horse! |

Hi Danielle! I'd like to suggest you register with Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/ This is the emerging way to rent rooms out. DH and i have been perusing different places we'd like to visit on this site and scrolling through all the options available. Did you know you can rent an entire sheep farm for the same price of a hotel in Ireland? Find yourself smack in the middle of a town and not in the "hotel district." Some of the people renting their rooms also act as tour guides/local historians, etc. I have a few friends who have used the service and some who have rented their rooms for special events in town where hotels always sell out. Some will even rent you just their couch to sleep on. Haha. Good luck to you!
