Hi Marley/Teri! Busy here, too. I need to replant beans, maybe tomorrow. This weekend I have the neighbor's son staying over. He helped me bake a pumpkin bread. It smells sooooo good. The kitties are enjoying the evening shade right now. It was so hot today. I thought it was going to pour down raining, but we didn't get a drop. Tomorrow I'll mow, again.
Hope you are having a good day. How is your knee doing?
Marly

Okay, Marly ...you had me at Pumpkin! Hot here too. just got the beans and squash in came in to something to drink, and it started to pour. It didn't last long tho. But, any little bit helps.
Kitties were all in the garden with me ... I think they think I was cleaning them a new toliet! LOL!!!
My knee is doing okay I guess, I refused to go to PT @ $45.oo per visit so, I do it myself. Up the stairs I can do okay, just slow. Can't go down or lay my leg flat yet.
I go back to the ortho on the 20th. So we shall see.

The Pumpkin Bread came out so, so, so good. The neighbor, Jimmie, loved it. Of course, so did Bart, my hubby. He ate four slices with strawberry ice cream. Now he is complaining about how full he is, and why did I make him eat so much. Really!
My outdoor cats think the same about our garden. When I weed and clean up the gardens, they think- oh a new place to potty.
I don't blame you for refusing to pay $45. My goodness, some doctors think we have money trees growing in our back yard. I recently went to a new dentist just to have my teeth cleaned. I had an infection around one bottom tooth. Well, he sends me to this specialist. The specialist says the tooth has to be pulled, and that I had three others that looked bad. Maybe they would need a crown. Crowns are super expensive. So, I decide, thank God, to go to my regular dentist. I had gone to the new one in my town because we were so busy looking at new houses, etc.... It just saved me time. Never again. Any who.... I go to my regular dentist. I tell him I took the medicine for the infection. He asks how long the tooth has been bothering me. I tell him the tooth never bothered me, it never hurt. He took one x-ray. The other specialist took plenty, well $219. worth of x-rays. My regular dentist tells me he sees nothing wrong with my tooth, and that I don't need to pull the tooth. And the other three teeth look fine. I was wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rip offs. Some doctors and dentist or rip offs.
Sorry, didn't mean to rant.
Hello to all the kitties.

Oh Marly,
That is how I lost 4 of my teeth! To a designer dentist!
We had just moved to KY. then so I lost 4 of my teeth and a new plate and $$$$$$$$$$$ later. It is a SAD time when you are looked at more as a paycheck than a person!
I worken in the health care industry for over 25 years! All I can say is thank God I don't anymore!

Thank God I got a second opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Off to mow the yard, again. No complaining, I love being outside. Hello to all the kitties. My Gracie girl has been in hiding since yesterday when the neighbor arrived. She is afraid of her own shadow.
Have a great day. Will check in later.

that's what happens when you are new to an area and don't know anyone! I think that was the hardest part of moving for me. Not know where to start with drs. dentist and that sort of thing. Still hard here trying to find someone anyone who is qualified for a job.

Hello and a big Meow to Marley/Teri and her kitties, and Marlee & Sox. Moon, Audrey, Pepper, & Nadia are enjoying the sun this morning. Looks like rain, again. I'll try to take a few pictures to share today.

I cut mine last week for the first time in over 6 weeks, but now with the rain I will have to mow it again this week, it is such a chore. Lawn front, back, side is well over 3 acres of mowing.:(
gonna put a temp fence around the garden area this fall and let my lambs eat all that area down.

Mowing seems to be a never ending things this summer with all the rain that we've had. I don't mind at all, I'm an outside person. I love playing outside, I don't call it work. Of course, when it so hot, I take lots of water breaks. Too bad my outside cats can't keep the grass down like your lambs.
I bet Mr. Sox is missing his mommy.
How are your kitties doing? Meow to all of them.

Marly you were not wrong. Sox was my little shadow the minute I stepped out of the car. He follow me everywhere, even to my bathroom and sat and gave himself a bath till I come. Hilarious.

I did have a good weekend cooking supper now, we went to the 127 flea market. no to far tho, still not able to walk for very long. Got a few pieces of old white ironstone, love it with all it's crazing and all.
My cats LOVE canned food.
I feed more of it in the winter tho, helps their bellies to be full and keep them warm in the barn.
They love it there in the hay all hunkered down on the cold mornings.

Welcome back, Marlee. You are certainly a cat lover. Glad you got caught up on the cat page.
My cats love can food. I have to sprinkle the gravel food on top, then add a little water.
We bought our four outside cats an igloo for cold weather. I think they got inside the thing once. Now, they all hang on top of the thing. It is too funny.
Welcome Bonnie to the Farm & Barn Cat page!!! It's nice to have you with us. Tell us about your cats. If you read all the threads, we three; Marly, Marlee, and Marly/T want to write a cat book. We love to see pictures of cats.
Later.

Hey Putty tat lovers thought I would get on here today. I might be off for a week or so. No everthing is fine. My hub is transferring all our sstuff from one computerm to this one and giving my sister the older one . It still works very well. And I want her to have one . So I will be back on.
Sox is hiding some where, it is raining and thundering and he doesn't like that.

Marly to funny that the cats lay on top of the igloo.
