Just this evening I walked into the kitchen-noticed a big bunch of bananas getting all dotted with brown and thought....Hmmmm.... time for some BANANA BREAD!

How about sharing your recipe Winona?

You know, you are just across the mountains from me. Think I could make it before it's gone? Sounds yummy!

I tried a new recipe for lemon bars today for dh. He loves them really tart. This recipe was great crust wise, but he wanted it a bit tarter! Somehow, the bars are disappearing nevertheless!!

No banana bread around here since last weekend.

Sorry, the 'nanner' bread is a goner. Not to worry, I have more 'nanners' browning up as we speak!!

Laura, I used my second best nanner bread recipe. This next time, I'll use the A-1 recipe. It's an old family recipe, something like over 100 years old.

Hunh...my last reply got me to thinking...most of the recipes I use out of the old family recipe book are supposedly at least 100 years old. But, what I'm wondering, for the nanner bread, clear back in 1912, were nanners available?? Unless someone lived on a coast somewhere... I can't ask the lady who put the book together, she has sadly passed away years ago.

At any rate, about the best recipes I know about!! :)

Now, I want the awesome banana bread recipe. I haven't found the perfect one yet. Can you share that? Pretty please?
