Hi Farmgirls-
I am actually asking this question for my Aunt. She has an earwig problem in her flower gardens. Her poppies all had buds on them and did not open, and then the other morning she went outside and found the stems all drooped over. She took one of the buds into the house to "inspect" it and opened it to find tons of baby earwigs inside.
I am wondering if anyone has a remedy to rid the flower gardens of earwigs?
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I hate earwigs! For some reason of all the bugs there are- earwigs are one of my least favorite- along with mosquitos and ticks of course!
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Hugs,

Oh Laurie I cannot stand them! I just read this: Trap earwigs by placing rolls of damp newspaper or burlap bags in areas where they are found. Collect and dispose of pests the following day.

Diatomaceous earth is supposed to help too.

I found that the Diatomaceous Earth works well, as Sharon suggested.

I don't like them either. I always have them in my garden gloves. That's gross. Someone told me to put a little baby powder in my gloves and things like that would stay out. I still haven't tried it yet, but I will.
