I am so excited to do this! One thing, though. Could you please type exactly where I am to send these recipes to? daisyfarm@shaw.ca or daisyfarm@blogspot.com? I don't do computors. I can spell and type, I just don't know much else about them. Thank you for taking this on! Bless you always! Susan

Our church just did a cookbook. It was $12. I think instead of photos you could maybe do a few farmgirl quotes or anecdotes. Just an idea.

I want to take part too! This is such a great idea, and I will ask my daughter if she has a recipe or two to add.....she cooks everything from scratch.

Will get mine to you soon and thank you for doing this!

Peace

All recipes are to go to daisyfarm@shaw.ca

The more recipes the better our book, so start typing folks.

And PLEASE remember to include your name, MaryJane's Farm login name (so we know who you are), farm name if you have one, location and a little blurb about the recipe to make it more personal.

In particular, please let me know your login name. Right now I have two recipes and no idea who the submitter is (hopefully they'll reply to my email inquiry)!

Oh, I've been meaning to gather up a few of my favorite recipes to send in, but I seem to be having some difficulty getting to the computer with recipe box in hand. I'll have to make a point of getting around to it first thing tomorrow morning. This Farmgirl Cookbook sounds like a superb idea!

Diane, are you getting recipes for all of your categories? Are there any that are lagging behind? Also, are you already loaded with some categories?

I will get back to you on numbers in categories tonite. I've had to juggle the categories a little and will apologize now if some of you think some are categorized wrong...some are harder to place than you'd expect. I've got to run into town, so will post revised categories and numbers asap.
In the meantime, no categories are TOO full and some are lacking...so if you've got good ones, please send them on. Don't forget gals, this is the last week to submit.
Hugs,
Di

Okay..here's the update (and revised categories)..

APPETIZERS & STARTERS - 8 recipes
BEANS & GRAINS - 5 recipes
BREADS & MUFFINS - 7 recipes
CAKES & PIES - 9 recipes
DESSERTS, COOKIES & CANDY - 7 recipes
EGGS & CHEESE - 3 recipes
HOLIDAY FAVORITES - 1 recipe
MAIN COURSES & MEATS - 10 recipes
PRESERVES & CANNING - 5 recipes
SAUCES, MARINADES & DRESSINGS - 3 recipes
SOUPS - 6 recipes
VEGETABLES - 3 recipes
MISCELLANEOUS - 1 recipe

So you can see there is room for LOTS more recipes!! LOTS more! <hint, hint>

One note...I have removed references to ALL brand names and sources (including magazines) with no exceptions unless they are for MaryJane's cooking/baking products. The recipes are still included. Is this necessary? Maybe I'm paranoid, I don't know, but better to err on the side of caution I figger.

Diane

Diane, thanks for all the good info! Speaking personally, you can omit any or any part of my "comments" as well as brand/magazine names. I trust your judgment.

Diane, some questions come to mind about this project:

How will you know how many copies to print?
Will there be one copy per farmgirl or can we buy additional copies to give as gifts?
