Yep, this one is going pretty slow. How many people are in each one? I have not seen either one yet? I can be last as I live in the coldest area probably but it is growing season for the cold crops up here. i have 1/3 of my garden started already. I have several packs of seeds to go into each round robin.

YEA! i just came home from a week long of intense training down in the cities to find a nice envelope of seeds! i had forgot all about it so it was a wonderful surprise. Its full of a very nice variety- thank you girls! We are having quite the heat wave. It's already 70 at 9 am. Typically i don't get my veggies all in until the holiday weekend but this year i already have in two succession plantings of everything except my tomatoes and peppers. i am so excited to see that okra has a pretty flower? i never few okra but the flower is very pretty on the seed package so will give them a whirl to see. I have heard they are good in stir frys and stews. Please send me the next addy and I will get these out Monday in the mail. Is there still two packages of swaps out or just this one? Thanks everyone.

The orka came from me. They do put out a pretty flower that becomes the orka pod. They need a good bit of space to grown in so follow the spacing chart. After that they grow really quick with no actual help apart from water. They're native to africa so they love the heat. Harvest the pods before they get bigger than a couple of inches, because they get real tough once they're big.

Also if you like earthy stuff inside your home its kinda cool to let some of the pods get real big & then just let them air dry & put them in a glass vase or bowl.

The best way to store them is by frezzing, but Iam sure you can find a canning recipe on line.
They're great in stews & a main item in gumbo, which frezzes really well & tastes wounderful! You can also bread & deep fry them which is a favorite of mine.

Live simply. So that others may simply live.

Dreaming! So glad to hear from you! I was wondering where the seeds were. yes we have 2 rounds going. I just got back the pack from round one so it is finished. Thanks to all who participated! There was a pack of Baker seeds in there that doesnt say what they are. Look like lettuce or carrots? Anyone remember? Please make sure the packs are marked. I will send you an address. Round 2 is about done so I plan to combine the seeds from both rounds and give it one mores circle. I have new seeds to add and hope others do as well. Might be too late for this year but we will have a head start for next. So if you waant to be apart of the combined rounds let me know so I can get you on the list. Thanks so much for keeping these moving! Sandy

It seems we have a snag again. Becky did you get the pkg of seeds??? I believe it was mailed around May 2oth. Should have been there by now. It was coming from DM. DM do you remember when it was mailed? I know things come up but for the fairness of all involved please try and be prompt in sending this on. Thanks Sandy

Yep, I mailed them off right away. Hope they get rolling again, I was looking forward to the second go around. I have some leftover seeds others may want- even if only for next year.

Yippee! I thought they'd never come! The package came yesterday. DS and I had so much fun going through them, though he was sorely disappointed when I told him it was too late to plant sweet corn here. I have the package ready to go, but don't know where I am sending it. If there was an email it got junk boxed or something.

Prayer costs nothing, but is worth the most.

The seed swap was almost finished and about to come back to me. I am contacting the last know person to have received them and double checking that she mailed them on. I have tried numerous times to email the person that they were going to. She has never emailed me back which makes me believe it was too much trouble to do what is was right and finish her part in the swap! This has left me with a bad taste and I doubt I will organize one of these swaps again. it is too bad one person can ruin it for everyone. To all of you who participated and did it right, by sharing yours seeds and promptly passing them on I thank you and commend you. I had two rounds going and one finished just fine. The other did not. I had planned on combining the two rounds into one more with fresh seeds from this year but I don't think I will waste my time. If there is a good reason this wasn't completed I will change my tune. But we will see.

No I was waiting to do the second round when I got back both of the 1st rounds. I had so many people I did 2 separate rounds and was going to combine them to send around again. But one of those never made it to me. Thats was my complaint. Too bad. I have new seed to but not sure I want to go to all the effort if it never gets back to me because of one person. I know who it is and would not want to name them so I hope they come thru.
