I did a search on here and while people are talking about buying online, or cruising yard sales, I didn't find anything about an online yard sale.

I saw one from another site. She created a blog and sold that way. She has some sort of problem with Paypal, so, she stated up front she took checks or cash (yikes!) or money orders, and, as soon as the check cleared the bank, she would send out however the buyer wanted. From UPS, USPS, Fedex, whatever.

Anyone here with any experience?

I think it is a great idea. I have always wanted to try it. I have never done a blog but it is an interesting concept. Not sure about the cash option though. It would be hard enough with checks and money orders. I am not sure folks would trust that she would actually send the items and they would have no recourse if they did not use paypal.

Would love to know more about it.

I think it's interesting, but time consuming. Almost everything else is done online, why not. Let us know if you do try it, Winona.

I'm trying to get up the nerve to do it. I'm thinking of an 'already moved' sale. Cleaned out the storage room and cutting down on the clutter around the homestead. Geez, never thought we had soooo much stuff!!

It seems the first step is the hardest... :-)
