sometimes when I cut into a peach and remove the pit there are little white fuzzy spots where the pit was...does anyone know what this is? Is the peach still okay to eat?

I've seen this before too. I still eat them. Haven't died yet!

I'm with Julie. I still eat the peach. I just cut off the white spots. I wonder if it has someting to do with the age of the peach. I usually find the white spots in peaaches I have picked locally, not in the ones from the store.

really? I usually find them in the ones from the store vs locally...hmm! I was thinking it had something to do with the age too.

I always cut on the middle part where the pit was, just to be safe!
