I just purchased an old pine farm table and after wiping it down I applied my favorite beeswax polish that has a touch of lavender oil. The house is permeated with that wonderful natural smell of beeswax with a hint of lavender! I'm going to do some research to see if they have a website, if so I'll share it with you. I was given this from a friend after raving about the patina on a pine piece at her home and she told me then what she had been faithfully using. Will start digging for info...

FOUND IT!!! I'm glad I typed out loud:) I've been nearing the end of my can, found it quite easily and have already placed an order. Not cheap by any stretch but this stuff lasts a long time! The first question I would ask the receptionist is if it is sold anywhere in your area. It comes from Canada so shipping adds quite a bit to the final total. If I knew how to attach links I would but...here is the site;www.claphams.com

I can just imagine how nice that polish smells. I'm pretty wierd about stuff like that- I love the smell of Johnson's paste wax. Imagine what kind of heaven I'd be in with lavender-beeswax. I am going to check this out for sure! Thanks for the tip.

Hi Dona,

Can you tell from the ingredients listed on the jar if it is pure beeswax? Just wondering before I order it. Thanks for sharing the info.

BTW, hello from Shoreline, Washington!

Hi Susan from down the road:)

The ingredients now when looking at them are rather vague. I'll quote the ingredient sentences; "It is made from beeswax with the addition of a little microcrystalline and carnauba wax." One more; "This is the same recipe as our conservation formula which is used by museum conservators world wide, except for the addition of a little oil of lavender."

So I would like to think it is pure beeswax but I'm not sure, might be something to ask when calling.

Enjoy this beautiful summer weekend on tap for us!

I went to the site and also discovered they make a WATERPROOF HAND CREAM! My hands sure do take a beating with all that they do, and all the water and washing up I do, and this will be perfect! Thanks so much for the site tip, Dona! I'm ordering!
