My daughter and her fiance stopped by today and handed me a card...I opened it and on the front was a dog carrying a news paper, inside , hand written was " We are expecting a delivery on or about August 21st, with a sonogram picture of my future and what will be my 4th grandchild and their first child. To say I'm excited, is an understatement, now I have to wait for 7 months, it might just kill me, lol...

Wonderful, happy, great, exciting, blissful, wild news!!!!!!!!!!! You will be the best grandmother ever! We'll have to get a thread going of the countdown to due date. Lets do that!!!! Girl names: Marly, Tina, Minny, Theresa (my middle name), Zoe, Grace, did I mention Marly. Boy names: Russell (my dads name), Barton or Bart (my Sweetie's name), Luck, Henry Dragon, or my favorite Uncle's name; Jerry (short for Jerome). Do be sure to let your beautiful daughter know of these names. My Sweetie's BD is August 4th. Could it be possible she deliver on that date? Oh...that would be sweet. Now Tina: if you need to take a vacation before August arrives, maybe you should pack your suitcases and come on down to Louisiana and stay with me until late July. We'll shop for the baby, etc... That is one terrific idea. I'll be online tomorrow looking for baby t-shirts with the Saints emblem on it, and little bitty shoes that look like little footballs. I love, love, love the news. Please let your dear daughter know that I am just elated at her happy news, and give her a giant hug from me. Marly

Congratulations!
I teared up for you... I love babies!! I'm done having them now, but mine are still very, very young so I have a VERY long time to wait for grandbabies. Enjoy!!! What a creative way to find out, too. That's very cute!

What a sweet way to let you know their news! That song "Anticipation" and a ketchup bottle (lol) came to mind.

I have 3 grandsons now, so I will wish for a granddaughter, the other grandparents have 3 granddaughters, so they of course are wishing for a grandson, lol...but we all agree that as long as the baby and parents are healthy and happy, that is all that matters... My late hubbies b-day is aug 24th, my dad's is aug 28th, one of my friends is aug 18th, so it will be interesting to see if the baby makes her/his apperance on any of those days, or your b-day Marly, as far as names go, they have not picked any, but I will give her your suggestions Marly,lol... Thanks everyone for your good wishes...
