Just ordered a book that was written about in the "HANDFUL" issue, page 34, DIARY OF A HARD WORKING WOMEN. got it used on amazon, looks pretty interesting. Also saw on page 10 a nice write up about "MEN TO TAT",since I have seen that subject brought up on the mj site it caught my eye. The reason I bring this issue up, because it is one of the older ones is because it was the only one I didn't have so ordered the back issue. and No I don't have the very first one. Anyway will let you know what I think of this book when I get it. Unless someone out there has read it and can tell me what they think. NANCY JO |

I would sure be interested to hear about the book after you read it Nancy!! It sounds right up my alley. Isn't that cool that men tat and do all sorts of needle work. One of my best friends here in town has a husband (father of 12 kids and a welder) who is a knitter. He knits sweater jackets from his own design and they are wonderful. His wife said he only does them as a gift for someone he loves and he only does one once a year or so. I think it is so neat that he does that! I make sure that my boys all know at least how to hand sew. I couldn't send them out into the cold cruel world without at least that knowledge. My second son knows how to crochet, but I don't think he has done it in years.

I'm going to certainly make sure my boys at least know how to hand sew, too. Pity the man who can't sew a button back on his own shirt!![](icons/icon_smile_wink.gif)

lIBBIE SEW a button on a shirt? first you have to tell them where their shirt is, and then good luck explaining the sewing box situation, my dh is the best person you would ever want to meet, but he is still not sure where the kitchen is. NANCY JO |
