Ladies---wondering who got all the heavy snow. We only got about four inches here---when they said 15 to 18 and scared me half to death as hubby has to get out of here for a critical doctors appointment. We drove our Subaru out of this holler and it only kicked into four wheel drive twice---but I was scared---going a mile straight uphill do get tedious for sure.

Barbara - I wish I could say I got it, but nope. Only a little dusting here.
Denise - This is not normal for Ohio - we usually have much more snow. I'm still hoping we'll get some too.
Betty - We have 32 cows and luckily don't have to milk them by hand LOL! We had a bad ice storm a few years ago and had to milk by hand. It took a long time! We now have a generator LOL! If you don't mind me asking is the J. for your middle or last name? My sisters name is Betty Jo.

It has been very foggy here. Pea soup, that's what we call it. Haven't gotten out of the 30s at all, so it's kinda chilly out there.

Not much better on the east side of the Cascades. Plus we are hovering around freezing most or all of the day. Six weeks or so until Spring. Yeah!

It is a gorgeous sunny 10 degrees here in the Chicago area. We have about 6-8"s of snow on the ground and I worked on my 2 mile trail that I take care of at the Morton Arboretum this morning. I spotted a pair of does in the woods and a cross country skier. Other then that, I had the east woods to myself. Have a beautiful January!

We had our last snowfall of an inch mostly melted but this afternoon we got another little dusting. No big amounts but even the little bits make me happy.

Darn Mother Nature!!! we have had a week of fog,, and then yesterday she gave us a 1/2 day of sunshine.. only to wake to fog again this morning with projected snow on Sunday..

It feels like we have been so cold here. We barely reach the 30s and we have been having strong winds that just make it so much colder. I’m ready for some warmer weather so I can spend some more time outside with my cows without freezing.

97 degrees F here in sunny Queensland today. Temps are supposed to rise in the coming days with high humidity (60-90%). We went water-skiing with friends on the weekend. It was a lot of fun and a great way to stay cool. Just a cup full of snow would be nice at the moment!

The sun shone for the first time in days. It was such an uplifting feeling. My spirits were soaring. And the temperature made it up to 50°F. Tonight is another story--down to 29°F. Spring is about 50 days away. Life is good.

Whew! Cindy that is hot!
We are forecast for ice and snow from tonight into tomorrow. Raining today so the ice is sure to form. They say 4-6 inches now for snow.

We got a whopper of a snowstorm today here in the Chicago area. A foot of snow has come down since the wee hours and it's still coming down at 4:30 p.m. Lots of heavy shoveling but it is really a beautiful winter wonderland out there!

Dawn - We just switched from rain to snow while finishing up the evening milking. Luckily there was very little sleet/ice when it was switching! I can't wait to see how much is out there come morning :)

So far we have received rain and sleet from this storm. I doubt we will end up with snow. It looks more like it will end in rain for us.

No snow Denise?!? We have lots of blowing snow. I wish the wind would let up so the snow stays, but I'm not going to complain since we had very little sleet last night as it switched from rain to snow. It's still snowing right now and I think we're supposed to get some tonight also.
