The wind is roaring outside, it is cold. Tina is freaked out by the wind so I put down puppy pads for her. My feet & hands are cold, a 2 dog night.

It’s sunny and 80 degrees here in Florida today. I saw on the news there are so many planes delayed due to all the snow in the Midwest and I was thinking about all the farmgirls caught in this blizzard. The news said that Chicago got slammed badly. Please just be safe out there everyone. Hope it is all over soon.

We're in N.E. Ohio and we just have cold temps and flurries. Not bad for November. We usually get our major snowy weather in mid December thru February. I have a Feb.2nd birthday(Groundhogs Day)and we are either snowed in or iced in so I don't really get to EVER go anyplace to celebrate. *sigh* I've heard others say they celebrate in the summer. Now THAT sounds good to me!!! Hahaha

Low 20's here west of Chicago after yesterday's big snowstorm of 6"s. This is the first time we've ever had a snow day for school in November. It has been one chilly and at times snowy month for us. I have to wonder what December will have in store for us!

Freezin here in God's country---15 tonight. I went to town today and got so cold as I am used to warm farm woman clothes. You must be sending us warm weather as it will be in the fifties this weekend. Thank you SARA.

We are definitely starting to cool off here in Utah. Our mountains have snow and we are expecting some snow in the valley later this week. I'm excited for it. Makes it feel more like Christmas. We are getting rain today and boy am I cold.

Judy, my “real” birthday is in December, and I totally hate it. I do NOT like cold and snow! About 25 years ago, I decided to “move my birthday” to August. I always have a plan to celebrate with family or friends. We’ve celebrated at a baseball game and many years we spent at the week at the beach, or out to dinner. I am SO much happier! I only use my December birthday if I have to do something legal. Otherwise, my Dec. birthday is just another day. It all worked out.

A glorious day of sunshine for us. It is so muddy here that we can barely stand up. Now I see why people move to Arizona.

First snow of winter. We had some before Thanksgiving, but I don't count that.

Don't want to bust your bubble, but it is 60 and overcast here in Santa Maria. For the natives it is downright cold!

It is stupidly hot. This is January. I have been wearing shorts and flip flops. My BFF had to deal with -20 last night.

Those of us in the midwest are getting hit hard tonight. We are expected to hit -55 on Wednesday. I have added safety heat lights to my barn, extra straw and closed up the doorways with plastic in the barn. We have a outdoor wood burning stove to heat our house so we will have to keep it going every few hours. I am very scared of what may happen. Frostbite can occur within 7 minutes the weather people have told us! Schools have been closed since last Friday and now the trash, mail, and factories have all shut down. This is the worst on record!!

In the hills of southern Indiana . The weather is in the the 20's calm wind and snowing lightly. Tomorrow is suppose to be in the single digits making the wind chill around -16 in the am. The animals are put away with extra straw, tarps to block the wind and a extra feeding of grain to keep them warm tonight. . Praying all will be good in the am. Not looking forward to morning chores with this cold cold weather. Take care and stay warm my friends.

It's here! Negative 56 with the 30 mph winds! My poor goats were huddled up together this morning with their little whiskers all white from frost. Our 100 year old barn is holding up as well as can be. We added lots more straw, hot water, and heat lights, but we can only go out for 3-4 minutes at a time. This is the craziest and worst thing I've been through with the weather.

The predicted polar vortex has hit for us as well. After getting over 6 inches of snow on Monday, we woke up to -27 with a windchill of -49 here in Chicago. We can't complain too loudly though, Minneapolis has it worse!

Stay warm everyone!
