Here in southern Ohio we've had lots snow, -13 degrees with wind chills -20, then it'll get up to 32-35 degrees and everything starts melting then refreezes. We've had colder temps here than they have had in parts of Alaska, just gonna shake my head on that one. My son finally went back to school today after being out for a week and one day. These are the winters I remember when I was a kid but we still went to school no matter what, they would put chains on the tires of the buses and haul us to school, hahahaha! Keep thinking to myself Spring will be here soon!

Freezing rain is our nemesis right now! Kinda scary, as our trees and power lines are not use to the ice and extra weight! Last year when this happened, power was out for quite some time! Praying it doesn't last and we keep our electric. The kids are already trying to fight something, and I would hate to see them get worse, because they were too cold when sleeping!

Snowing in northeast Texas. Forecast up to 3" ~~ I'll take it we need all the moisture we can get and it is so beautiful.

It's snowing here in MN. Large chubby snowflakes! It's been a while since we've had a nice beautiful snow. :) I guess that means it's warm enough for pretty snow!

It is odd to watch the weather channel and see places struggling with snow and cold and where I am which normally has four seasons and should have snow have none--snow gone--of course a change could happen anytime: )

I have painted beach scenes on them and gave them out as door prizes for a workshop we hosted. We usually chuck these out. I have an idea for these....more to follow.

Vanessa, thanks for the info on the coconuts. Do you or are you able to extract any meat from them, or the milk?

Well, it's up to 42°F here and the sun is shining brightly. I'm going to have to get out and mow the lawn shortly, but don't want any undue stimulation on its growth pattern. I'm in SE Washington and the temp is supposed to get up into the 60's today. I can't complain, but I do hear myself whining at times.
