I made the first one as a joke, kinda like Julia Child.
My best friend had told me to show her how to make Jack Daniels bbq sauce. So I told her I'd film it and send it.. well I wound up making it into a video.
So I had fun being silly in that one.. So I made another.. haha
I think I have found a new hobby...

Girl, you're brave. Ever since I read your Jar swap info, I have been meaning to tell you that you should consider doing something for Dirt Road Daughters Magazine. I got their premier issue, and they need your help with contributions. Not to be horribly mean, but I read excerpts over the phone to my bff, a writer, and we laughed. She is a chicken specialist, but is way too busy writing other stuff.

Kudos to you, Tara! I love it! Great job! You GO girl!!! 'Looking forward to more! (BTW - love the measuring cup!)

Also - just FYI - as a buttermilk substitution: put 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar in your measuring cup, add whole milk to the one cup measure, and let sit for five minutes. It's not buttermilk, but it sure works for me! :)

Love your videos, Tara! What a hoot! (while giving great recipes). You measure just like my mom. (and me) I have a question about sweet tea (this is serious) I have been hearing so much about it this year. In songs, etc. While we were traveling though the SE USA it seemed to be on every menu. Is it just iced tea with sugar in it?

Judith, I had to laugh when I read the comment about "sweet tea". Being from the south we drink it like the French drink wine. Yes, it is simply iced tea with sugar added, usually a lot of sugar. To really make it tasty you can squeeze in some lemon juice. Cathy

Trish: I have never heard of the Dirt Road Daughters magazine, I am going to have to look that up..

Nini: you are right, I forgot about that.. I heard it was just vinegar... I'll try the apple cider thank you for that :)

Judith: Cathy is right, I make it by using 4 family size tea bags (from luzianne) and boiling 6 cups of water and letting the tea steep.. then putting about 1 1/2- 2 cups of sugar in the hot tea and dissolve it.. then put that in a gallon pitcher and fill it up with water until it reaches the top... :)
Just tea and Sugar..

My Father has been calling me Sweet Tea since I was a little girl, so the name just kinda stuck :)
