Hello,
I was wondering, like Patti, about mentioning anything about personal businesses. Are there any particular rules in doing so if your items are not homemade, but they support the home? I didn't know, so I want to ask for myself and for anyone else who runs a home-based business, but didn't know how appropriate it is to share on the forum.
I know there are some very exciting things happening in my business that I would just love to share with you all, but don't know if this is the right place to do it. I have my website listed, but don't know if it's accessible since I haven't heard or seen that anyone has visited. Just curious.
Any guidance you would all have to offer would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance and God bless all of you this day.

I'm going to a Pampered Chef party Monday night! If I bring an ugly potholder and/or an uninvited guest I get a gift. I'll be bringing both.

I LOVE pampered chef!!! One of my relatives here in town was selling it and now isn't so I will for sure order from you when I need some things! I will make time to check out the website tonight later..have to run to a youth meeting where I am a leader right now...

Just checked itout- very cool, sent you an email. I put my shop and website on my signature, if people want to check it out they do, if not then I am not broadcasting it. I do have a farmgirl link to following sites :MJ's, Susans soaps and Isabella's jams. I will put anyone who is a farmgirl on there so just let me know.

Lynda -- don't know what the official forum rules are about this. But I will try to support any Farmgirl business whether it's homemade or not. I love the things that I bought from you and use them every day. Will be need more Pampered Chef stuff soon.

Dear Fellow Farmgirl Entremanures!
Even though we've had a couple of strange "business" posts that we deleted, I've loved the amount of sharing and caring surrounding the cottage industries we farmgirls dream up, handmade and otherwise. So far, everyone has used good judgment in terms of what's appropriate. I second Rusticcottage on this one! And I have no idea what a Pampered Chef is. Go for it Lynda!!!! I think it's critical that we support one another in our efforts to be home-based. MaryJane |

Thank you so much, Mary Jane, for your comments and support. What a wonderful surprise! And thank you, Kay, Beth and Aunt Jenny for your support, too. I just love to make my Farmgirl Friends happy.
Of course I'm usually amazed and always thankful for most comments that come my way because I'm afraid I've frightened most away with my wordy responses or posts. I feel very privileged that Mary Jane has given not just me, but everyone her blessing to share our home-based businesses with one another and encouragements to support each other. I will gladly do so.
In an effort to cure your curiosity, Mary Jane, I'll tell you just a bit about The Pampered Chef.
The Pampered Chef is a company that sells professional quality tools and products for the home kitchen. The importance of family meal time was, and is, the inspiration behind this company; to help bring families back to the table. Whether someone loves to cook or hates to cook, has lots to spend or little to spend, we can help them. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
As an independant consultant I conduct customized cooking shows in the homes of hosts to show them how to use the tools by demonstrating a recipe for them and their guests. This serves as part of their refreshments. In doing so, everyone gets to see the products in action, they can actually try them before they buy them. Our flagship products are baking stones. I like to say that a Pampered Chef show is the perfect outing; you get to talk, eat and shop with all your family and friends - what could be more fun!?
Our logo states, "Discover the chef in you." And that's what I hope to do for those who come to my cooking shows, whether it's through learning something new about a product, ways to entertain and enjoy or the simplicity of putting ingredients together to create an easy meal.
That's pretty much the jist of it, I invite you to visit my website to learn more. I have a PC recipe review program on there and also feature a recipe of the month. Plus you get to learn about all the current promotions for hosts and guests and starting your own business. I get particular enjoyment out of helping women find their place at home while they are able to conduct a very lucrative, yet flexible and family oreiented business. Of course it works very well, along side a FT job, too, which is what I do - for the time being. ;O)
I know I'm partial to my choice of business, but I commend everyone who has taken the steps to start their own with the company of their choosing or for being so innovative that you have created your own. I know I would much rather support an individual's business than a corporate business when it's possible. So blessings to all who promote and own your own slice of heaven.

I will just tell you that Pampered Chef is dangerous and addicting -- in a good way!! They have so many neat things to use in the kitchen! I love everything that I've ever gotten -- especially the stoneware.

Thanks, Kay, for saying so and I'd have to agree otherwise I wouldn't have given up all my metal pans. I don't think I own a single one and it would be that way whether I was a consultant or not. I love using my baking stones. And all our kids grew up with them, too and so I can honestly say they are kid-trusted and mother-approved. They each took one with them when they left home. Dare I say....they left the house "stoned?" :o)
I know, I know, that was really bad, but you know what I mean, don't you? ;o)
