I have a friend I'd like to mail some cookies to, and I need some input! Do you think they would be fine sent priority? With priority they would get there in two days, and it just costs $5-something. I looked at mailing them express, but that looked like it would be over $20, and I really can't do that right now! I thought maybe if I baked them early in the morning (I'm making chocolate chip cookies) and then packed them in a ziploc or something, and sent them the same day, they would be ok two days later.
So, what do y'all think?

We used to send my mom's cookies to my BIL in a zip lock 2 day mail and they were great when he got them. just remember to let them cool off or their will be condensation in the ziplock and that will not be good for the cookies.
Have fun
God bless,
Judy

My mom sends my son cookies and sweets in the mail all of the time. They taste just fine. She puts them in a tupperware.

I used to send cookies to my husband when he was in Afghanistan all the time. I just got one of those little ziplock sealer things. He said they always tasted fresh, and mail sometimes took a loooonnnnng tiome to get to him!

Glad the cookies arrived safe! I always put a slice of bread in with mine to keep them moist. :)

Glad the cookies arrived safe and sound. I usually wrap 2 together (flat sides against each other) in plastic wrap. Takes a bit of time but they arrive in one piece and stay fresh.

That would've been better than what I did...I just put a dozen in a gallon ziploc. They were pretty snug in there, but I don't know if they got there in one piece! He didn't say they crumbled, but I don't guess you'd say "gee...they got here and they tasted good, but they were all broken!" :D

Priority mail is great for cookies! I mail mine that way at Christmas. Also, if anyone has a dollar store nearby, mine sells cookie tins. They work great. They are pretty, and are durable to mail.
