This cake was created by President Madison's wife, Dolly. Dolly Madison was a very fine and secretive cook, with deep religious convictgions. She wrote this recipe so her imitators would have to read the Bible to Bake the cake.
Hence the name, Scripture Cake.
1 c. Judges 5:25
1 3/4 c Jeremiah 6:20
1/4 c. Proverbs 24:13
6 Job 39:14
1 Kings 10:2
3 teaspoon Amos 4:5
1 tsp. Leviticus 2:13
3 3/4 c. I King 4:22
1 c. Genesis 24:11
2 c. I Samuel 30:12
2 c. Revelation 6:13
1 c. Numbers 18:8

Have fun looking up the verse to get the ingredients!
Go to my blog to get the whole recipe....
This is so...much fun

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

How fun!! Thank you for sharing this! Bet my kids will wonder why I'm doing my devotional in the kitchen tonight! LOL

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.
