I don't usually knit in the warmer weather but I can't seem to stop. Now if I could just learn to knit something useful. Posted a picture. Oh yea, posting a picture is a surprise. NOT.

You are more creative than I am Nancy, I can not even finish knitting my niece's baby blanket as I have become obsess with knitting dish cloths. But, they are fast and easy and make great gifts. I am like you though my knitting is not my summer thing I usually embroider.
I do love keeping my hands busy.

You are funny! Scarves and mittens are useful. If they get boring, make some blocks and sew them together into blankets. I just finished the "Great American Afghan" this winter and have done one block in the "great american aran afghan." Okay, I like to knit, but I agree that summer is not the best. Would you believe I taught myself to knit socks? I love making them and always have a sock on the needles. keep working on it, it truly does get easier:) I am trying to teach myself tatting now..my gma always used to tat and I have wanted to learn for years (and tried on and off) and am finally getting the hang of it. I love the website knitting pattern central for free patterns.
