So I was thinking why not have a swap for our little four legged friends, our pals with paws who love us unconditionally! I thought we could make or buy little gifts for our furry friends ex. treats (baked or bought), embellished collars or bandanas, toys (home made or bought), etc…
If you wish to participate please let me know the following:
1. How many pets you wish to include? 2. What they are (cat, dog, etc)? 3. Male or Female? 4. Pet’s Name? 5. Pet's Size (small, med, large)? 6. Your favorite colors? 7. Your style? 8. How many pets you wish to swap with? 9. If you prefer to swap with a particular animal (cat only, dog only, etc)?
Signups will be open until May 27th, I’ll post partners May 28th and swaps should go out by June 18th.
I think this makes a puuurrrfect swap! Heehee!

I would love to pamper my pooch!
I wish to include my dog, Sawyer, not my beta fish, Shy Guy! He is a LAAARGE German Shepherd. We have no particular color in mind, and I like any style!
I will pick just one swap partner please...I really don't mind swapping with a dog owner or a cat owner- it's all fun to me!!

| this is a cute idea ! I would like to include my daschund mix, Penny, she is only 20 lbs, white with tan, she wears a lot of pink, collars or bandana, she love all toys and anything she can chew. treat fav flavors are cheese and bacon I am ok with any animal for a swap partner |

Yay! Teresa (Sawyer) & Patricia (Penny), I've got you both down!
I'd like to include my 2 kittens Olive(girl)& Eugene(boy)! My favorite colors are pink, teal, green...and my style varies: whimsical, shabby chic, and so on...if everyone ends up wanting to swap for only 1 pet, my partner can choose either Olive or Eugene to send a gift to(heehee). I'll post a picture of them tonight!
Girls, I think we're going to have a lot of fun with this one! I'm very excited! I hope more farmgirls decide to sign up!

Hi Kate, I would love to play too, what a wonderful idea.
Now, I have 3 mini long hair doxies, Heidi is a long hair red 4 years old and the momma to my other 2. Bella of the Twilight (yes she is named after Bella of the Twilight series) she is a long hair black and tan and will be 2 in October, Holly Bear her sister is a long hair red and will also be 2 in October. Then we have our beautiful 8 year old Golden Retriever name Amazing Grace, who herds over them all and is the sweetest girl as are the rest. Then I have my 7 year old Canary name Golden who is a very special part of our family and he is a boy and the dogs are girls. Now that said I am not expecting all my animals to be included in the swap I just wanted to share with all of you my animal family. Hey, maybe we can post pictures of our babies with there goodies they get.
Now Amazing Grace has Kidney Disease so we have to watch her intake of protein, she is on a special dog food for Kidney function, she weighs 80 pounds and has no favorite color. But, she love her rawhides and tennis balls alot.
Heidi, like her babies will eat anything, she weighs almost 13 pounds with no favorite color either.
Bella of the Twilight weighs almost 12 pounds and is a chow hound as well with no favorite color.
Holly Bear weighs almost 11 pounds and loves to eat as well with no favorite color.
They all love rawhides, toys and tennis balls.
I would love to swap with one partner with any kind of animal, makes no matter to me as I love them all, and it does not matter how many pets they have.
My favorite color is country blue, or barn red.
I will anxiously await my partners information.

I would love to do this swap too. These are my dogs. Bella on the left is a 4 year old Shih Tsu. She is mostly black, weighs 20 lbs,
My other dog is the Scottie on the left (my son is holding him). His name is Snickers and he is only 4 months old. They both love chew
bones (small rawhide). I like the color red for Bella and Snickers
I would like to have things in a Scottish Plaid or just plain blue. Snickers is mostly black with brindle coloring on his back and tail.
I would like to swap with someone who also has two dogs. Thanks for doing this Swap...sounds like a lot of FUN!

Debbie!!!! Bella! I LOVE it!!! I am a huge huge fan of the Twilight Series, as is Teresa! I will add you (Heidi, Bella, Holly, Amazing Grace, and Golden)to the list! I definately think we should post pictures of our sweeties with their treats! Excellent idea! I would love to see everyone's little family members ;)

Oh, I hope more people will post pictures of their Sweet Pets. It

Teresa...he may not be a lap dog but he looks sooooo lovable. And Sawyer is a great name. I don't watch Lost
so I wouldn't know who he is named after. My Bella isn't named for anyone...I just love the name.
Half the time we call her BellaMia. ~ Snickers our Scottie is actually the pup that I bought for my husband,
to replace his dog we had to have put to sleep last summer. He first named him Royal but nobody including me
thought the name fit him. So, I told my husband he had to think of a better name for him. So, he came upt with
Snickers because he has carmel, choc. and white brindling on his back and tail. Then he said, and besides two
Nuts own him...so that is perfect...just like the candy bar. lol

It finally worked, how strange I had to go to another picture folder, so weird. I will have to ask my son about it. Here is our Gracie girl at Easter, I think she was looking for Easter Eggs:-)

Oh, Sawyer is so cute, I love German Shepards. During Desert Storm one of our female soldiers had to go to Iraq, and she did not have anyone to care for her German Shepard. She recused him from a home where he had been abused badly by a man, so he did not trust them at all only women. It was such a joy to care for him and he was just so sweet, I never wanted to return him but I did, he missed Helga a lot. It was a fabulous reunion.

Here are Olive and Eugene! Olive is the calico (on the left)and Eugene is the one who sort of looks like a tabby (on the right, belly in the air).

ooohhhhh sadness, Gracie looks like our dog Sterling that we had to put down.
He did not like other people or other dogs...but he loved us and he was our gaurdian.
He bit three people in one weeks time. He had cysts through out his body and was in
pain and we didn't know how bad it really was until his aggression turned to biting.
He was 9 yrs. old and it has been about 9 months but we still miss him. He had so
many endearing things about him...

I wasn't going to do any swaps, because I am getting ready for the Farmgirls on the Loose trip but I couldn't resist this one! This is Molly McGee my Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix. She loves hard chew toys and any kind of treat. She doesn't like any kind of clothing but will wear a scarf around her neck. I would like one partner with a dog to swap with.

ok hens/farm girls...what about chickens?????...I am always on the look out for fun things to intertain my kids so to speak....Ask Debbie of Colorada she will tell you just how bad I am.....lol.....green house/condo for them & am now on the look out for things to decorate it or the runs with....so if any of you have any ideas ect please let me know on chickens cause I think I would love to find another one like me who can't leave my chickens alone....Michele'

Yes, we absolutely need to add chickens and hens as like Michele says there are a lot of farm girls out there that just love their chickens. I for one would love to do a swap with someone who owns chickens as I have a great idea for chickens.
So, M are you going to join the swap?
That said I would like one more swap partner so I will have 2, one for chickens and one for all the other animals.

OH MAN!!! THIS IS GREAT!!! I am only afraid no one is going to want to swap with me :( Where do I start. Molly is my old lady she turned 10 in December (choco lab) her owners didn't want her around to jump on the new baby they were expecting (WHATEVER!).
Brodie is a 70lb hound dog that thinks he is still 7lbs like the day I found him on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. He is 7 and still hasn't figured out how to wag his tail without folding his body in half and spinning his tail in circles thumping it on his own nose.
Chloe is an Eskimo Spitz mix that her family "couldn't take her with them" on a move up north. Paige is an Ridgeback mix that was supposed to spend a couple of days here until her "parents" could find an apartment that would take dogs. After not hearing from anyone after 2 weeks I called and all #'s were disconnected. 6 months later they show up and want her back.... UM... REALLY!? I think we can all assume who won that battle.
Finally Suki my Chihuahua who thinks he is a super hero. About a year ago he was out with everyone else when the coyotes were taking a calf I am guessing he got to bossy and too close when they decided to go after him. 1 week later and $2000 in my vet's pocket he got to come home looking like franknweenie. Ripped stomach, intestines, and liver fixed but tubes, staples, and stitches that needed looked after. Lets not for get my kitties Captain and Teneal (brother/sister), Renny, and Lil' Kitty (19lbs). I also have 3 horses Mustang Sally, Shiloh, and Alley (both paints). Spotty my over weight potbellied pig. 3 chickens and my rooster. WHEW!!! All of my "kids" are rescues hence the name of my farm "Second Chance Ranch".
I am DEFINITELY not expecting something for all but whomever wants to swap let me know and we can figure it out.
