BLOCK SIZE: 12 1/2" when you have completed it.
TYPE: PinWheel
STYLE: Pieced~4 blocks make 1~ 12 1/2" block.
Cut 2~ 7" white blocks~solid or tone on tone.
Cut 2~ 7" colored blocks~can be solid or a print, any shade.
Cut them all in triangles and then piece to form
pinwheel.(white, color, white, color)
All should spin to the right.
Place a button in center and you made a pinwheel.
MAKE 12: Keep 1 and send me 11.
PIN your name on each block so we all know who created each block.
QUALITY FABRIC PLEASE.
Enclose: $5 for return of blocks. I supply the envelopes.
SIGN UP until JUNE 1st.
SEND BLOCKS to ME by JULY 15th. If I DO NOT receive your blocks I will mail everyone their blocks without yours. 
1. Failure to follow these directions could disqualify you from future block swaps.
2. If YOU FAIL to COMPLETE this SWAP YOU WILL Be UNABLE to JOIN in the future.
3. Be sure YOU are an EXPERIENCED QUILTER. This is NOT to TEACH QUILTING.
4. INFERIOR BLOCKS will be sent back to the sender.
These are FUN swaps and we have received many wonderful blocks.

I'd like to join in, but I have a few clarification questions:
Do we provide the buttons for the blocks? Or do we supply our own buttons? I know some long arm quilters do not like buttons on the blocks before the quilts are quilted.
Are these to be bright colors or is there no specification on color shades. Can the white be TnT (tone-on-tone) or does it have to be a solid?
Do you want all "colored" pinwheels to "spin" in one direction? If so, this needs to be specified, because they can be assembled either way.

Answer to Linda's ?s
1. We will attach our own buttons to the blocks we make for everyone.If someone doesn't want buttons just request it.
2. The white can be solid or tone on tone.
3. I was going to suggest colors and have each person do 1 color for all of their blocks such as, lt blue, dk blue, lt green, dk green etc. but some people may be limited to where they can get their fabric so what ever color everybody chooses is fine. Is that ok everyone?
4. Yes they should all spin one way. To the right.

Hi all
Just a hint/tip on the pinwheels. If you take one of each block-1 color and 1 white and put them right sides together. draw a line diagonally corner to corner. sew 1/4" from the line on each side of your drawn line. cut the pieces apart using the diagonal line. you have 2 pinwheels and don't have to mess with

sorry somehow i hit send. If you make them this way you don't have to try and sew the triangles together which is on the bias and can stretch the fabric. I have my fabric picked out. these are surely additive! I find quilting additive.
