I just wanted to let you gals know that we just used the AFM Safecoat carpet sealer on the wall to wall carpets the previous owner of our house installed just before we bought the house(ick!). Until we can put in hardwoods or cork this is a great option and the carpets look really nice afterward. It took all day to do this (for about 800 sq ft of carpet) and cost about $100. At least now I don't have to worry so much about the flame retardents and formaldehyde creeping up from the carpet pad. I am happy to answer any questions for those of you who are interested in doing this to your own carpets.
Kindly, Rebekka

When I read about this, I wondered how it would work - the actual process, I mean. Did people come to your house and spray it on or did you do it yourself? Also, how long does it take to dry? Our house is due for new carpeting soon (or some other alternative, but I think we'll carpet the main area), and I was putting it off because I just cannot stand the chemical smell/leak.

XOXO, Libbie
