May days brings us all sorts of flowers and goodies our way......... for those short on time........ making some baby washcloths are Fabulous and Fun all wrapped up in being a jiffy project!

Here's what you need to make some baby washcloths too.....

A pair of Size 7 needles, a ball of cotton yarn, and a cast on of 28 stitches, knitting for 50 rows, and a bind off! OOOOOOOOOOH-SO-EASY!

If you want to make your square bigger, go for it! Cast on more stitches and lengthen your project by the rows!

YES, IT IS A JIFFY PROJECT that can be made by our Farmgirls for the "KNIT 1 BLESS 2" 2011 project by Debbie Macomber!

Thank you, Teresita. Since I'm just learning to knit this will be a perfect first project to complete. (baby washcloths)

ROUND-UP TIME for crocheting Farmgirls around these parts..... with a very cool and fun GRANNY SQUARE BIB!

Instead of a GRANNY SQUARE BLANKET or along with a GRANNY SQUARE BLANKET, here's a bib you can crochet to match!

Don't you just love it when babies are in matching gifts of love!!!

Thanks for visiting and let me tell you that baby washcloths are indeed a perfectly wonderful jiffy project that beginners and experienced knitters can all love.

When I first started to learn to knit, I kept making dishcloths. Knitters in my group thought I was crazy and said that I could just buy dishcloths. BUt dishcloths like washcloths help build good even stitching and good techniques.

So the blessings that you give when you make something really just return right back to you...... BLESSING two after all!

What's SO Fabulous about JIFFY PROJECTS????

Jiffy projects are EASY to make and very portable..... that means everywhere the Fabulous Farmgirl goes who knits and crochets, she can take her JIFFY PROJECT along with her.

In short time, our Fabulous Farmgirls here can whip out one HANDMADE with love project that truly was made in a jiffy! JIFFY PROJECTS are fun to make so that we can enjoy making more and that simply means...... MORE LOVE and CARING stitched into our WORLD!

Glad to hear from you........ I love hearing from other Farmgirls and especially happy that you are happy and excited too! Remember that you can make as little or as many as you wish and you can share what you have made right here to inspire other caring Farmgirls who are reading along with us at this very moment!

I think it's exciting too and pretty sweet!

Going out for a ride with baby means a car seat and having baby car seat blankie makes that outing extra cozy and nice for everyone!

Well, here's something for our Farmgirl knitters to enjoy that will make the baby and family happy with this gift of love....

http://www.creativeknittingmagazine.com/newsletters/creativeknitting/pages/CKNL2008_patt.html

You are getting two sizes here...... a small car seat baby blanket (19x 23) and a large baby blanket (38x48)

Baby car seat blankies are much smaller than your regular baby blankets which means....... another JIFFY project for our Farmgirls here to enjoy and consider knitting for "KNIT 1 BLESS 2" 2011....

JUST IN CASE you might have missed my earlier pattern post and are sitting there wondering how to make your own knitted BABY BIB like mine...... here it is!!!

http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/bevs-washcloth-bib.html

Only difference........ I knit 50 rows first instead of 48 and then make 56 rows for the band before binding off.

It's all in the knit stitch so that means any Beginner Farmgirl knitter will love making this bib!

I am about a fourth of the way through with my baby blanket, working hard to get it done by the deadline.
Teresita I answered both of your Yahoo emails you sent, perhaps you need to check your spam file if you are not getting them. I want to email you but am at a lose as to why all of the sudden you do not get my email. I do not know what else to do.

Debbie,

That's great news about the blanket.... are you knitting or crocheting? What size are you intending to making. Preemie blankets work up pretty quickly, depending on your stitch.

]Thanks for sharing this good news!

Wanting to make a blanket and short on time.......

Have you considered making a CAR SEAT BABY BLANKET????

Car seat blankets are much smaller as they are going with baby and their car seat.

THe dimensions for small are Approximately 19 x 23 inches and (38 x 48) for a larger size car seat.

Here's a knitted pattern that I shared earlier in case you may have missed it the first time around.....

Our FARMGIRL CROCHETERS can also enjoy making a Baby CAR SEAT too if that's something you'd like to make.....

Here's a very gorgeous crocheted baby car seat (size 21 x 28) using Deborah Norville's Serenity sportweight yarn.

http://www.premieryarns.com/patterns/108.pdf

If you haven't checked out Deborah Norville's PREMIER YARN collection, this yarn collection comes in awesome shades and weights for all your knitting and crocheting needs!
