Right now I've decided to continue working on a blanket that is really the Italian flag. I'm making it for my aunt's birthday in about a month. I made one a couple of years ago for a school auction, and my dad ended up winning it, so the rest of my family has wanted one ever since!

Working on more Kindle covers and coffee mug wraps. I also have an afghan I have been working on forever that I should just work on everyday...it might just get done that way!

My newest crochet project is a shrug to wear with my dress for my DS wedding in September. I bought some fabulous yarn from Grace at Larkspur Funny Farm. Will post photo when done. Thanks Grace, that yarn is to die for!

Hi - you all sound busy. I've been working on Broomstick Lace and Hairpin Lace shawls. Right now I am working on a wrap that can be used across the shoulders or around the hips as a bathing suit cover up.

I am tempting myself far too much & cannot focus on one thing long enough to do much of anything! I am attempting to do the snowqueen shawl & then I saw the galaxy wrap shawl...and since I bought way more yarn than I needed, I keep seeing things I *need* to make! Those are my main concerns right now, since I want to have at least one shawl done by September long for my cousin's wedding the weekend after. Wish my luck!

I made a couple of hats the other day. They are made with cotton and nice for summer. Sent the white one to Meg at the farm along with 2 yellow ones with roses for her daughters. The green one is for Liz's (woolgirl) daughter.

I'm working on a number of pairs of wool socks right now. For worsted weight sock yarn, I found some Briggs & Little Softspun yarn....the stuff is practically already felted, so I thought it'd be perfect for socks. It is! :D

I also found some antique shawl patterns from the 1880s at www.antiquepatternlibrary.org that I would love to make. :)

Too much thread, so little time!

Thanks, Liz and Linda.
I just finished a little purse for my soon to be DIL. Found a handle I liked and made up the body with the shell stitch, added a flower with a pewter button and lined it in pewter satin. Her colors for the wedding are black and pewter. She is wearing white.

I also just finished a little shrug to wear with my dress. I got the most awesome hand spun, hand painted and ribbon tied yarn from Grace Gerber of Larkspur Funny Farm. I just love it and will post a picture as soon as I find someone to take one of me!

I am currently working on fixing the first afghan that I made when I first learned to crochet - it was the first thing that I had ever crocheted. I made it for my son when he was a newborn with colic - the only way he would not cry was when I was slightly reclined in the rocking chair and he was laying on my chest. I needed something to do with my hands, so my wonderful neighbor taught me to make granny squares. I didn't do a good job at stitching the squares together, and it lasted about a year before it started to come undone. He just turned 15 and asked me to fix it so he could have it to cover with when he reads at night. It might cover his legs - maybe - he is already 6ft tall! I also have recently made some dish cloths. My brother and his wife adopted 2 little brothers from Africa, so I made each of them an afghan and also edged a few bibs and burp cloths for them, and I am also trying out an idea that I had for crocheting a rug for my craft room/office since the carpet is hideous and I want to cover as much of it as I can - lol.

I am tatting and crocheting lace for a festival weekend in September......already have a yard of crocheted lace done but I don't think I have the patience to make yards and yards of tatted lace like Scarlett O'Hara did. :p
