T-towel rings......how clever! I'm going to have to Bing that and see if I can find a pattern. And it'll leave a towel intact......

I'm finally done with all the big parts of a sweater and only need to sew them all together and end with crocheting the collar and front bands. I sure hope it fits!

And Tammy, congrats on your washcloths! You're off to a good start. So far I've only made two potholders, three scarves and soon to be done with that sweater. OH! I'm also working on a purse out of nylon cord...... I'll post pics tomorrow of both my projects tomorrow. At this time of night my brain is in the danger zone!

And speaking of crocheting, I am trying to discipline myself and finish everything I start...... Now if I can only do the same for my sewing.

The hats are so cute Diane! How did you get them to retain that shape?

Thanks Julie! I finished another hat last night! Once I have 20, I'll probably take them to my church for the baby ministry.

I love the look of the "Ethan" hat above!

I'm working on a hat, and two blankets. I'll be making a scarf to pair up with the hat.
I just finished a bunch of hats last month - they're on my shop & blog sites.
I like to have baby blankets on hand, so that's one of the blankets I'm working on. The other is one I've been working on for a long while for my older son - it's a tedious pattern and I've been getting bored with it quickly, so I work on it in spurts every few months.
I'm trying to use all of the yarn that I have on hand before I start spending money on more!

I just started working on a Christmas star afghan. I'm already about 8 hours into it and probably another 20 to go! I'm super excited, my goal is to have it finished by the end of the month so I can enter it into our county fair and also have time to get my other entries ready!

Oh boy. I would post a pic of what my sweater looks like so far but when I 'sewed' the sleeve to the back part it looks horrendous. I would give just about anything to see a close up tutorial of which loops to use. On the other hand, I wish I'd have mastered the edge treatment that this megan.cc does so it looks more like actual stitches on the sides rather than a jumbled mess of big, loopy and twisted yarn with no rhyme or reason to it.

I'm kinda sneaking this in here but I'm wondering if anyone has a nifty little trick on what to do with these beastly vertical edges so they can be seamed together. The more turning chains there are the uglier it is and looks so loopy, gappy and twisted. Yuk! Maybe something that even looks like a chain stitch? Surely I'm not the ONLY one who's encountered this problem!

The paper raffia cowgirl hat is from www.crochetasylum.com and the raffia is from http://www.nashvillewraps.com/
They hold their shape because of the raffia. It is a little hard to crochet with at first but you will get the hang of it.
Thanks for all the compliments!

Haven't had time to look through all your projects yet but what I saw looked neat! Lately I've been making little bags and hackey sacks to go in Operation Christmas Child boxes. Soon I'm going to start making accessories for my girl's dolls and play food for them.

I'm trying to work on a beautiful shawl {http://sunshinescreations.vintagethreads.com/2010/12/shell-shawl-and-hair-scarf.html} that I found online, but I only have white right now & want it in a black/grey. I first wanted it in a sparkly black, but I couldn't find what I was looking for so I'm not sure it even exists outside of my head lol. But I found this yarn {http://www.patonsyarns.com/product.php?LGC=lace} in Patina & ordered some, so hopefully it's here quick! I want to get it done in less than 3 weeks....so let's hope I don't screw it up & can get the pattern/rhythm going easily!

That's a nice yarn Pam. I'm dreaming of working with a yarn like that. Gotta finish some other projects first.

I use a half double crochet, it is not as open as a double but works up faster than a single. It has good scrubbing weight. I use the cotton yarn like Sugar N' Cream or Bernat Handicrafter.

I just made up wash cloths that alternated single and double crochet after the base row. It made a nice soft nubby texture.
I use cotton yarn, and I find it cheapest at Walmart. I think its called peaches 'n' cream brand or something like that.

The yarn I had pictured in my head for the shawl does exist! Too bad it won't be here before the weekend or before I actually need it...but I bought it anyways! This is what I was picturing: http://www.marymaxim.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10003_50001_3074457345616971977_-1_3074457345616686280_3074457345616686285 (Sorry, I don't know how to make it a one word link up). The white that I'm practicing on does look nice...but I want it darker to go with the dress. Let's hope my first order of yarn is here right shortly!
