OH MY GOODNESS!! I have not even looked through ALL the pages here, but until now my mouth is wide open and my eyes are popping! You do AMAZING work, girl! I love tatting and bobbin lace. No I can't do it, but here it is an century old tradition to learn from mother to daughter. I sometimes go to a market with old fashioned crafts etc and always love to look at the ladies doing bobbin lace. ALL those pins, amazing!
I love to crochet and used to do a lot of the filet crochet as well, haven't been doing it lately. But might try again after seeing your lovely works of art.
Hugs from a new fan :)

I visited your blog and am amazed. I have some pictures on my blog~the farmgirl one~ of things I have made. I am busy right now packing to go on our first ever DisneyWorld trip this Friday. When I get back I will certainly be looking at your blog again to see your wonderful handwork. Ruth

Sunshine, I looked through several pages of this topic and saw all of your beautiful work. Honestly I don't know how you find time to do it. I do not have the talent you have to be able to work such small pieces or the knowledge for the fine heirloom work you do. The reason I am writing is to ask you how you made such small braids in the rug for your husband? I am trying the pioneering way of braiding a rug(using old wool clothing) and I have the braid-aid things to help me keep it folded (as I must have carpal tunnel and it hurts to do fine work with my hands/fingers). My braids are coming out much bigger and bulkier than yours. Also, when I tried to sew them around (oval shape) I did it in my lap and it didn't come out as neatly as I had hoped. I used quilter's thread with a very big straight needle to do the sewing together. Can you give me some advise? Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to give me. Sunshine, please forgive me, I got so wrapped up in this post that I didn't see the tutorial you had put in. I do plan on trying to sell some of them if I can get it perfected and if there is a market around for them. I am telling you this up front as I need to make some money on the farm. Things have gotten tight since May when my ex-husband became disabled and my child support stopped. Thank you. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Sunshine, I just read through your whole tutorial and found out what I've been doing wrong. Also I love your idea about wearing the glove, my fingers were so torn up making my rug that I had to stop for a few days in between and put heavy lotion on them. I would have worn my white gloves to bed with the lotion, but I can only find one. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial with pictures to show me where I made my mistakes. I probably won't get back to working on it now until after the holidays, but when I'm done, would you like me to email you a picture of it? You are a Godsend! God Bless you!
