gosh, sunshine good to hear from you, i have really missed seeing your post! let's see my fanatsy job for you would be teaching crafts/textile arts to children. first i think you have the knowledge and you are a great teacher. i think this would be new ground so i think it should be a very organized service. i have always thought as i have mentioned before that you could market your tutorials and try to sell them in quilt shops, craft shops, etc. as far as teaching children crafts, i think you could market it through homeschoolers in your area, have them come to your house in small groups and teach a subject like quilting, russian needlepunch, yoyos, really any of the things that you have successfully taught to your children and others children as well. or package a few of your tutorials with children in particular in mind. contact some of the online homeschooling folks and see if you could write a book for them to market for homeschoolers on textlie crafts/history/instruction. if you need any help with the packaging of your tutorials, or kits for children to do, ie yoyos, quilting etc. i would be happy to help you come up with the graphics and packaging ideas, no charge. i think also here, there is a need for these type of classes with 4H, girl scouts, and with retired folks who have never been as involved in crafts, but have always had an interest. my mom, who i think was quite a quilter started quilting in her 60s, and yes she started with classes. good luck on this, and keep us posted.
love fran

love the top and skirt! and love the yo-yo quilt. my gracious Sunshine..but I do believe that some of your creations deserve to be in the Smithsonian. Truly..they are lovely. I too think that you could package and sell tutorials/kits for creating items. Gracious..you could do little kits for children...things like the mini yo-yo quilts that kids can create, things like little pin/brooch kits... and then for the adults some a bit more challenging/detailed. Or perhaps come up with some new/unique quilt designs/patterns to offer to quilt shops. You have loads of talent girl.

The restaurant I worked at in SoCal in the early 70's made that often. Everything the "baker" made was from a package or can, but it sold like crazy to those who thought it was all made from scratch. Easy and tasty. |

For the next month and a half every day except Sundays I will be posting an apron a day to look at on my blog these are all aprons that my children's great grandmother owned before her recent death (with in the last month). In September they are going to be given to many differnt family members in many differnt homes. So this is the last time and only place they will be seen as an entire group (of course one at a time that is). We wanted to catalog them for all the family to see but I thought you ladies might like it too. Some are even as old as my children's great great grandmother.

Sunshine, your pieces are very beautiful! It's also nice to see someone charge a fair price for them! It takes a lot of time to make pieces with cotton thread and sometimes it's almost frustrating when you see people selling them for so little! I love your tatted bonnet! I will have to look through again when I have more time !
