It's like the week during the snow storm, as home with grandkids, 24/7. Their fun and busy and such enjoyment, but as you say WHEW!! I'm just getting back to normal, and that's still not real frisky!! I know you had a good time, your grandkids are so darn cute. Can't wait to see them again. Now you need to take granny time and rest.

Ditto on the grandkids! they are my greatest treasure but I am sure glad when they go home. We have a blast when they are here but they wear me out and I gotta re clean the house when they leave. They leave no stone unturned so to speak! LOL!

Double Ditto! on the grandkids. My daughter has one son and he has lived on our property by us since he was 3 months old, when she purchased a mobile home and came home. So he is like mine, some spoiling, but mostly have to treat him like mine. Now he is 18 and started college. He still comes home to my house after classes for snacks. But my son has 3 whom because of the big D--I only get to see every two weeks, and boy when they hit its like a storm and when they leave, I sit in my chair, and survey the damage and try to breathe, and make my brain function. They are fun, but boy are they full of action, energy, and nonstop talking and eating. I love them, enjoy them, but boy when its time for them to go on Sunday evening, I am ready! Did I say that outloud? OOOhh Thanks for listening! Guess this is the next stage of our lives, and as I always say this to shall pass, and I will be sad. So I try to enjoy, thinking that one day, it won't be like this, they will have other things to do. Hugs to all! I have 2 weeks to recover---till then. Linda Farmgirl # 946 |

Girls I know what you mean, mine are 11 to 21 now. And I'd give anything to have some of those baby times back. Just this last Sunday, I attended induction into National Honor Society for 17 year old grandson. The tears were falling remembering his little guy times. I babysit him until he went to 1st. grade. They grow up quickly, so hang on to the treasures of childhood. Don't get me wrong as they become young adults they bring you new special times. Just love the grandkids, they are a very special blessing in our lives. But during the snowstorm, Whew!!! Hugs, Brenda
