I have been away SO long....3 years in fact ~ but I wanted to drop in here to say that I would like to become more invloved with this forum and will try my bestest to get in here often!
things weren't well for a while, I was helping my sister and her children ~ my sister passed from breast cancer on october 30 2009 and it has been weird trying to get back on track with things.
I have a farmgirl chapter, Notforgotten Farmgirls, and I have even contacted other local chapters in hopes that we could perhaps meet up sometime...
I just wanted to say Hi again & I'm back.... now I have alot of catching up to do!!!
Blessings from the Farm, Lori |

Hi Lori and Lucy. I'm new here too. I don't live on a farm now, but grew up on one and owned one for years. Now I'm retired and live in a small towm, have about 2 acres, have a large garden every year (My husband does most of it) I can, freeze or dry vegies, berrys and fruit, make quilts for my grandchildren, paint and try my hand at writing. I do other crafts when the mood strikes me and I have time. There is a lot more telling but I don't want to bore you. I would love for you to tell me about you. Judy

Hi Lori. I'm so sorry for your loss. Having lost both my brothers to the complications of diabetes in the last four years I know how difficult this is for you. We aren't living on a farm right now, but will be moving to our place in the country outside Nashville, Indiana in the next year or so. Can't wait to get back home and have lilacs, spruces, gardens and four seasons again. I'm a retired RN and I love all sorts of crafts. Glad to see you back.

Welcome back. I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad you are able to hop back on MJF, and try to get things back on a comfortable track you. There is such an amazing group of supportive women here! (((Hugs)))
The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.
