The property is about 30 miles east of Moscow in Deary, Idaho.
The Flyer describes the opportunity. Infrastructure existing is:
· A couple of hoop-shaped green houses, one of which we use as a hen house.
· A “MooTel” (FarmTec) in which we store hay, tools and usually a tractor.
· A house
A newly built chicken slaughter facility that can have other possibilities as well. It will only take a very good HAACP plan and knowledge of good chicken-raising and slaughter practices to enable USDA certification for the chicken. There is a good market for organic chicken in the area, but as we are so close to the Washington border, without USDA labeling, we are missing at least 1/3 of the market (maybe more if we go to Coeur d’Alene / Spokane area.
Several ponds for stock watering and small-scale irrigation.
