I love that too, at least in the winter though they have a real taste for pole beans and apple branch tips that causes some issues! I like to note, each day, the wild things that come into view. We seem to have more pheasents than in recent years and big flocks of wild turkeys that we never saw about 10 years ago. Susan

I have an issue with our deer since they want to eat our garden big time. I like seein them in the winter, but I chase them all the rest of the year like crazy!

We have a herd or 6-10 that move across the woods in our back yards. We're lucky in that we're surrounded by woods and see them frequently (I've even backed out of the driveway and they're standing in the middle of our street looking at my tail lights!). We have a garden, but they've never bothered it--probably because the lower portion of our yard we let grow wild with brambles and a wild pear tree and then there is a large fence with four big dogs!
I love them. I know they can be destructive, but there is nothing more majestic and inspiring to me than seeing them move slowly through the wood or leaping to get away from our quick heeled beagle, Daisy Bad Seed!
We just saw 5 deer as we headed in to where my husband and I both work. We work on a property that is surrounded by a forest preserve. On the way in we saw 5 deer and on the way out we saw two more. They flipped us the white tail & then headed back in to the woods.
Like all of you, seeing them always makes our day!
