Yes, they are quick to make, but for me it's coming up with shipping costs. I hope to participate soon. God Bless.

Oh my goodness, I am sorry if that came across as a jab because it sure wasn't. Please forgive me. It is just exciting for me to do things that are "Bite Sized". No poking here, not from me.

Hi and welcome Nancy! I'm newer also, you will love it here. I sure do!
Do you ladies use a specific yarn for crocheting dishcloths?

Cotton yarn works best for dishcloths whether you are crocheting or knitting in my opinion. I did use a Bamboo blend once for some I made my parents...it is okay but they dont do alot of dishes, so that is why I think they are holding up.
Others please chime in with your opinions.

I think I'll wait until the next dishcloth swap to join. I'm crocheting my first one right now and it is a little lopsided since I'm just learning! I figured dishclothes were a good place to start, not too big and they start basic.
I will practice for the next one! I'd hate to send a fellow farmgirl a hexagonal dishcloth that was supposed to be square... ;)

Count me in on this as well! I love making dishcloths and love using them! I use cotton for all of mine. It holds up very well.
