so many of us new gals!!! -when someone starts a swap; could you maybe be more specific if it is to swap with one person only or to make(or buy or whatever) enough for every person who signs up?

i know that i am not the only one who gets confused and there are soooo many new sisters eager to play!!! and so many fun places to play!

thanks so much!

the "barters" are usually something specific for one person to another, the "swaps" are usually for a lot of people to make stuff and swap..does that help any. if you want to swap look under the swaps. the barters are for maybe something that some one has one of and would like to barter for something else. hope that helps..

thanx for chiming in -except i am not the only person confused- some swaps are one for each person- some are one thing that you send to one person and soem are one thing and you each send to the "chair" who then sends it off to someone different- i guess my confusion really peaked when i read the st paddy's day card swap and saw a few who questioned- not just me--

another sawp which seems to be to only make ONE is the easter egg carton swap- unless i am misunderstanding that one- so it is not safe to think that only barters are for one....

hope i am not ruffling any feathers- do not mean to- in this economy one has to determiine if they can participate before saying yes!

Marge, I'm so glad you brought this up. I figured I was confused because I'm a "newbie" to the swaps and barters.
I did see the egg carton swap, and came to realize it was for serious crafters (so I guess that was a "newbie" mistake, too!).
Thanks for clarifying. --L :)

i guess there would be confusion as to a swap and barter
but bev means is that if you have say a book youdon't want than you can barter for another item say a picture frame.
a swap it where you make or buy something specific for that swap such as the card swap
where the guidelines are posted that each person make a card for the number of gals in the swap
like 10 gals you make 10 cards and would receive ten cards.
another swap kind of swap would be like the egg carton and (no you do not have to be a great crafter)
when the partners are posted you are matched up with another gal and you email each other with your addresses ..and send just to your swap partner.
depending on the swap guideline for that item if you feel its something you can make or not
and if it can be store bought ..hope this is helpful
