Oh Betsy, it really helps that I have a goal to reduce 5 tubs of yarn down to 2 this winter, my fingers will be flying to meet that personal challenge by spring, when I really get busy.

I would love to help out as well! May we use our own handspun wool or do we need to stick with acrylic/nylon/or something else?

Susan,

I looked at the info and so no restrictions for yarn type. So, go for it! I wish I could spin my own yarn!

I will do what I can. it might just be two caps! Life is very full with work right now, as I am back to midwifery at a busy birth center.
I have a newborn and a preemie cap pattern I've used for years. I'll get started as soon as I can!

This year's Caps for Good drive ends on Feb. 28. However, you could make caps all year for next years drive or find another charity to donate them to. I just heard on the radio about a lady that knit one hat a day for a full year (all different patterns and sizes) and donated them on the first to large local rescue mission!

Yes, I would say as soon as you've made all you want to, then ship them in all at once. Great job!

I'd like to join in with making the hats. I love making baby hats, but don't have many infants to make them for, so this would be perfect!

Julie, You are amazing! Are you using up stash or have you had to buy yarn? I guess that's one positive about sub zero temps, eh? Makes you want to crochet/knit even more!
