I have some homemade honey that I used for my tea in the morning..
This morning I took it out of the frig and it now looks like beewax color wise

Is it still safe to use?

I suspect its just crystallizing. Warm it in a pan or water and it should turn clear again.

I never store my honey in the fridge due to it crystallizing quicker there. I just keep mine on the counter.

Yup, just keep it on the counter or in the cupboard. Honey is the one food in the world that never spoils! It will crystalize as you discovered, but as the others said, just heat on low to liquify it again.
