Received my order today for the MJF Tote Bag Special. It is absolutely wonderful. The tote bag wil double back as a small knitting bag for me instead of a plastic bag. The magazine "Special Recipe Issue" is a definite keeper. I was so excited that I just briefly browsed through the pages. Can't wait to try the Budget mix! I know I will be spending hours reading recipes, looking at the wonderful photography and receive great inspiration. To top it off it came with a pattern for flour-sack apron. This was the best purchase ever!

In the same order I purchased some Chill-Over powder. Have heard so many good things about it, I needed to try myself!

I'll let you know the outcome!

Hi Margo,

The tote bag special is a bundle of goodies that we sell. You can find the item on our shopping site here: http://shop.maryjanesfarm.org/store/p/248-Tote-Bag-Special-Unbleached-White.aspx. Basically you get a hand made tote bag, 2# of Budget Mix, an Apron pattern and the Special Recipe issue "Farm Kitchen". Not too shabby!

Wow! Sounds like a whale of a deal =) I'll have to check it out! I'll need gluten-free, but I can bake for others with the mix! Yum!

Hi Annika,

We don't have the GF version listed but you can always give me a phone call. I can make a substitution for you (or anyone else for that matter).

Hay Ya'll

Yep I ordered my budget mix and bag when I first became a SISTER and I have received so many compliments on it. Its an item I am proud to carry out and about. The tote, mix and magazine are worth the price. But you will soon be ordering more mix becoz its so good. My last order was for the big batch along with the chill-over mix.

Mary Jane is really onto something here!!

Love and Prayers,
Your SISTER

I got my bag about a week ago and it is great. I agree, it will make a great knitting bag for my smaller projects like socks and such. I can't wait to try some of the recipes.

Lorraine, All of the tote bags are hand made and vary a small amount in their dimensions. The "main" pocket for the bag measures roughly 9.5" x 11.5". There is also an 8" x 8" pocket on the side too.

The Apron pattern included is this one here: http://shop.maryjanesfarm.org/store/p/196-Farmgirl-Apron-Pattern.aspx.

Hope that helps!

~Brian
