My friend was going out of town so i got her CSA box this week. In it was a small pumpkin. The lady at the farm said it clean out the seeds, scrape out the meat, mix it with a can of sweetened condensed milk and brown sugar, pour it back in the pumpkin shell and bake. Sounds yummy, but I cant bring myself to cook it with all that sugar. Any suggestions?

Julie: Wash the pumpkin well.Break off the stem. Use a knife to slice through pumpkin in about 9 places so the steam will come out. Bake on a cookie sheet at 400 degrees. When soft (about an hour) depending on the size). Cool. Take out seeds and set aside. Take out flesh and puree. It is great for breads, muffins, pies, soups etc. Enjoy
