I had 1/4 dose of a flu shot about 10 years ago. My allergist wanted me to take the shot but agreed to be careful because I have a family history of egg allergy and the flu viruses are often cultured on an egg base. By the time I got home from the doctors office I had a fever of 103 and a full-blown case of whatever they gave me. No reaction at the injection site. I have never been sicker in my life! Never again will I get a flu shot. I agree- most people I know tend to get sick more often after getting a shot. Doesn't seem very fool proof to me. Better to eat lots of veggies, get plenty of exercise and wear a mask if you must.
