SWAP IS FULL!!

We have 12 participants.
12 inch block (measures 12 1/2 before adding it to your quilt top)

We will make one block for each that participate plus one for ourselves.
You can piece your blocks. You can appliqué your blocks. You can embroider your blocks. Which ever is your favorite method?
But please use a quality fabric. Nothing to thin.

Send your blocks direct to me along with some return postage. I will give you my address in a private email.
Blocks will be due in the mail by October 1st. I will swap them all out and return to you by October 9th.
But of course, if we get them all in earlier, I can send them back earlier.
What do you say ladies? Any one interested???

Is fabric from Joann's ok, or does it have to be from a quilt store?

Three more have joined our little swap.
Thank you Nettie, Shirley and Karin.

Yes JoAnn fabrics fabric is fine. (That is what I will most likely be using)
There are not as many quality fabric shops around any more. And unless I really need to, I try not to order fabric on line. I am the kind of person that likes to feel the fabric. And besides, what better way to use a Saturday then in getting lost in a fabric shop. Even JoAnns.

Two more have joined out group. We now have 9!
Thank you Ruth and Denise for joining. Welcome!

I will keep this open until August 20th. Then I will close the swap.

So you can start making your block now if you like.

But remember ladies, this is an Autumn theme not Halloween.
So use Autumn-ish colors. Autumn-ish prints. If you appliqué, maybe an acorn or corn stalk or pumpkin (not a jack-o-lantern)

Welcome Starletta. (By the way, that is a pretty name.)

Ladies, now we have 10!!

Swap will be closed on August 27th no matter how many we have or sooner if we have 12 participants.
OK??
If anyone has questions please ask me. I believe most of you have joined in one of my swaps previousely. I do try to keep on top of things. And although life happens, I do try to get my swaps finished on time.
Now, If something comes up and you can not finish on time, just let me know.
I think we will have plenty of time to make 12 blocks. And remember, your blocks do not have to be all the same. If you get board easily like I do, you can make 6 of one design and then 6 of another.

i am so wanting to do this but my machine is acting up right now! (darn bottom tension will not adjust properly) hubby wants me to get a new nice machine but i feel guilty with getting daughter settled into college first. But the 27th..... lol, will get back to you! I may just have a new machine by then! (fall is my favorite season!)

I'm really interested but I've never done a swap like this before. Once I design my block can all 12 be the same or do they each need to be different? Probably a silly question :)

Lisa,
There is never a silly question. When I did my first swap I had to ask tons of questions. That is how we learn. Besides, maybe someone else had the same question but was afraid to ask.
You will need to make one block for each person that joins. So if we do get 12 of us, then you will make 12 blocks. Yes, they normally are all the same pattern/design. But, if you wanted to make 6 of one design and then 6 of another, that is ok too. I sometimes get board of the same pattern and will make two different ones too. When you have made all your blocks made, send me all but 1. That 1 is yours. I always thought it was kind of silly to send all the blocks in just to have the hostess return one back to you. Any way....After I receive everyone ones else’s, I will sort them out so we all receive an assortment of blocks.
OK?
Would you still like to join us?

I have a good amount of fabric too. I am trying to choose between a few block patterns.

So we still have only 10 participating so far. Lisa has not given me an answer yet. I want to make sure she still wants to join.
