Hey girls. I'm looking for a military or kansas chapter? Anyone there? It's hard being a farmgirl in the military but It can be done with a little creativity.

I'm not in the military myself, but my son is in the Navy, and I think an online chapter for active military and/or their moms/sisters/aunts would be a great idea!

I am a veteran and my DH is still active duty. I think you could start a chapter that is for spouses, significant others, parents, or any other family members!

M dh is retired Navy, and I spent six years in the Navy also. A chapter would be nice.

Wife of a retired Marine, I think a military chapter would be awesome.

Anyone want to take the bull by the horns here and get one started? I'd be willing to consider it, but I'm not sure what the process would be for a virtual/online chapter, or if one has to be part of the sisterhood to do it. The sign-up page here, http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/farmgirl-connection/ , asks for a state and website url to be specified. Any of you True Blue Farmgirls more familiar with this process and what's entailed?

My dh retired from the Air Force last year. A military chapter would be awesome! Military base housing used to offer gardening areas at most bases, do they still???

I think this is a great idea.......did it get off the ground? I'm a military brat, wife & mother and love to say "I've never been without an ID card", LOL. It is definitely a different way of life & gets in your blood. Some things are tough, very tough....like deployments and moving every few years, but it's incredibly rewarding, challenging and fun too. One of my favorite things was making a garden almost everywhere we lived and knowing another military spouse would be coming in after I moved and continuing the same thing. My husband is retired army & our son is presently serving in Afghanistan. Love & Hugs to all my military sisters.

Everyone is someone else’s weirdo.~anonymous
